Anita Large, of the Saddle Lake Cree Nation, Alberta, has worked with numerous organizations and small businesses internationally, nationally, provincially and locally. She holds a degree in International Studies from the University of Saskatchewan, a certificate in Executive Management from Queens University School of Business Executive Program a Certificate from Strategyzer Academy in Business Model Canvas and Value Proposition Design.. She has over 15 years experience running and owning small businesses, and also worked for the Indigenous 2000 project (in Ecuador), SaskTEL, Visions Marketing, Aboriginal Youth Network, Native Women’s Association of Canada (NWAC), Calgary Urban Aboriginal Initiative (CUAI), and the Royal Bank of Canada to name a few.
She is an Creative Business Educator and Innovator and has taught and created customized curriculum for Community Futures, Okanagan College, Penticton Indian Band Education, Saddle Lake Employment and Training Centre and Mondo Creation..
Her achievements include leading Theytus Books to win 24 Book Awards in the US and Canada as well as an BC Outstanding Business Achievement Award. Winning a Constant Contact All Star Award for her marketing campaigns for Penticton Whole Foods Market. She is also on the Organizing Committee for Start-Up Weekend Penticton.
She is a certified Institute of Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, Pow Wow Dance Instructor, an Entrepreneurship Skills Trainer/Instructor/faciltator, and an IndigenEyez Almuni where she took training in creative faciliation.
